Welcome to parenthood. Families go through a period of adjustment post birth relating to learning to understand the needs of their babies, making sense of birth related complication, grief and loss of identity, feelings of anxiety/fear/disappointment/low mood, adapting to the change in sleeping patterns, going through the change in couple/family relationships, or juggling multiple life demands.

Whilst it is common for parents to experience “baby blues”, it is estimated that 1 in 7 mother and 1 in 10 father will experience symptoms of post natal depression PND and anxiety in Australia.

Our experienced psychologist has special training in perinatal difficulties. We are here to assist both mother and father with a range of adjustments throughout the perinatal period.
