Sabrina Yang is a Brisbane based Educational and Developmental Psychologist who has worked with infants, children, adolescents, and their parents in both the public and private sector for more than 10 years. Sabrina enjoys working within an attachment framework to optimise the relationships in families. 

 

 

Sabrina is passionate about supporting families through the challenges of conception, pregnancy, postnatal periods, parental adjustment, and parenting transitioning through stages of a child’s development.

 

She has experience working within Mater Mother’s Maternity Hospital, Child Health Community setting, Parenting Support Centre, Primary Schools, and private practice.  Sabrina has also supported families through unexpected health diagnosis including cancer, dialysis, and other medical conditions.

 

With a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology, Graduate Certificate in Bereavement Counselling & Intervention, and ongoing professional development in the area of child developments and parenting support has strengthened her skills in supporting your family during different period of development. 

 

Sabrina is also an accredited provider of the Circle of Security Parenting Program. She is passionate about helping parents become more confident in providing their child with the pathway to a secure attachment. If you have previously completed the COSP DVD program and are looking for more tailored support for your child and yourself, she is able to provide a more in-depth support for your family using individual protocol.

 

As a mother, Sabrina understands the challenges and juggling required for families. She is a firm believer in being a “good enough” parent and is passionate about providing families with a map of understanding the infant’s / child’s needs to strengthen family relationship. Sabrina is also passionate in working with neurodiverse families and supporting individuals to find their strengths and gaining more understanding of their challenges.
